5 Minute Green Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

Makes 2 servings

2 cups Water (or fresh fruit juice of choice)

8 oz. Spinach

1/2 cup Frozen Mango*

1/2 cup Frozen Strawberry*

1 Banana

Optional- 1 tsp. Moringa powder, Chia seeds ground or whole, Flax seeds, Pumpkin seeds, etc. - WARNING: BE CAREFUL with these fiber-rich supplements if you’re using this recipe before a long run or workout

* Frozen fruit- why frozen and not fresh? You can absolutely use fresh fruit, but you will probably have to add ice to your blender. Frozen fruit negates the need for ice and produces a super icy cold smoothie- frozen fruit is also frozen and bagged at peak freshness and can be bought all year long! It also won’t rot in your fridge after a week.

Recipe 

Add spinach to a blender with 1 cup of water (or liquid of choice). Blend/puree spinach until smooth. Add half of the frozen fruit and banana and puree. Add the rest of the frozen fruit and water and puree again. Once fully blended (and all tiny spinach pieces are liquified), stir in supplements as desired. Serve immediately!
